Ho Ho Hong Kong Podcast

Worklife for women with Belinda Esterhammer

Welcome to the second half of 2020… *awkward silence*

If I would have a soundtrack for the first half of 2020, “The Wombats - Let's Dance To Joy Division” would be high up, the lyrics are on point for my little bubble here in Hong Kong.

Let's dance to Joy Division
And celebrate the irony
Everything is going wrong
But we're so happy

Let's dance to Joy Division
And raise our glass to the ceiling
'Cause this could all go so wrong
But we're so happy
Yeah, we're so happy

Apart from doing my best to stay sane, I celebrated the miracle of life and turned one year older and maybe a tiny bit wiser, although I had to calculate at least twice how old I am actually turning (apparently this is a common thing in your thirties) AND I was invited to give my 2 cents on another podcast - the Ho Ho Hong Kong Podcast hosted by comedians Vivek Mahbubani and Andy Curtain.

About the episode:

Belinda Esterhammer is a force of nature with some big projects rocking along. She co-hosts the #impact podcast, hosts the Belinda Esterhammer show, created Fem Founded a community for females to get the nudge to get started on everything they’re passionate about, and co-founded Women in Tech HK.

We talked about the challenges female entrepreneurs face, what it's like for women in HK workplaces, the cultural impacts on gender and about her projects.
